Kerr Mackie Primary School is a highly successful and fully inclusive primary school for children aged three to eleven. The school is located in Roundhay, Leeds.
Our aim is to develop children who are: happy, healthy and safe; confident, independent and aspirational for themselves; inquisitive, determined and reflective; tolerant, respectful and responsible citizens.
We achieve this by:
• teaching a creative curriculum with an emphasis on the achievement of high standards in all subject areas
• offering a wide range of enriching learning experiences and After School Clubs
• creating opportunities for all children to be involved in the life of the school through ‘Investors in Pupils’, the School council and Class councils
• providing seamless transition across the school and with the local secondary schools
• understanding each child is an individual who has specific goals and needs
• promoting positive behaviours towards one another
• providing care, attention and encouragement for each child
• celebrating individual achievement
We consider the part that parents play in their child’s education is crucial and that it is vital that the school and parents work together in order to ensure each child reaches their full potential. You will find details of our vision and many aspects of school life within this website. We hope this communication is the first link in establishing a strong and long-lasting relationship with your family.
